HMV Oxford Street

Brand

House of Marley

Project Type

Point of sale

Brief

Design a prominent point of sale display for the House of Marley brand in HMV’s flagship Oxford Street store.

Challenges

The project required balancing strong visual merchandising with practical POS functionality. We had a tight two-week turnaround to conceptualise, gain approvals, and deliver final designs to the build team. All while navigating key stakeholder availability, including the brand manager and creative director as their approval was required for such a prominent piece.

Outcome

We developed a central feature wall showcasing a curated arrangement of House of Marley products to attract attention. To reinforce the brand’s eco-conscious identity, we incorporated natural materials like rustic wood and a living foliage wall. On either side, a TV screen and an exploded speaker visual provided in-depth product storytelling to elevate the brand to shoppers. A dedicated demo area was included to allow hands-on interaction, helping customers experience the brand firsthand.

Reception

The display was very well received by both internal stakeholders and the HMV team. It retained its prominent position throughout the initial year-long contract and, due to its strong performance and brand alignment, was refreshed and extended for an additional year.
